With 30 years’ consultancy experience, Neil is an expert in transport strategy and public policy. He directs and manages high-profile strategy and policy studies for public and private sector clients.

Neil leads strategy development, business case and funding studies. He often works with multi-organisation clients developing policies plans and programmes, as well as with clients taking forward business cases and powers applications. He is experienced briefing and engaging Ministers, MPs, local councillors and business groups, as well as the public. Neil has worked extensively across the UK, the Middle East, Australia and the Republic of Ireland.

Neil heads our UK-wide strategy and economics team. He is also one of our directors based in our Leeds office with a wider responsibility for our work and clients in the North of England.

What will bus services look like after the COVID-19 shock?

Spending and investment

26th June saw UK Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne announce the outcome of the inter-departmental negotiations on spending for 2015/16. The headline of the day was that current account spending would fall but that there would be more money for capital investment in those sectors like transport that are seen as driving economic recovery.
