Profile
Prashanth has more than seven years of consulting and research experience in transport infrastructure across toll roads, electric buses, intelligent mobility, development planning, road safety, maritime and public-private partnerships, including two years in mobile software.
At Steer, he primarily plays a leading role in toll road forecasting for transaction advisory projects, apart from new mobility. He uses his technical skills like transport modelling, analysis of large transport datasets, policy research and GIS/cartography to provide robust client-oriented solutions. He has worked with a wide variety of clients spanning sectors and geographies including leading domestic toll operators and international investors for investment-grade transactions, multilateral development banks, real-estate developers, governments in India and in the UK. Prashanth has studied more than 45 toll roads in India and several roads in Ireland, Mexico and the US. Recent projects in other sectors include recommendations to improve the bankability of e-bus procurement in India and to develop a parking portal for the city of Bengaluru.
Before Steer, Prashanth carried out research and consulting work at IIM Ahmedabad, largely on infrastructure PPPs. During his Masters at ITS Leeds, he worked on pioneering research exploring the application of political economy analysis for implementing pedestrian safety in Indian cities.
